How it works
There is nothing to install and nothing to connect. You send a reference list.
Marketplaces, retailer own-shelves, and any page you ask us to add — read as a shopper sees them.
Every listing tied to your references on product title and SKU, with uncertain rows flagged.
Who holds the box, what they charge, and how far under your reference they sit.
Matching
We read every listing on every retailer we cover, decide which ones are yours, tie them to a reference, then resolve who holds the box and at what price. Each step narrows the set, and every row that survives carries its own evidence.
Uncertain matches never merge silently — they wait in Candidates for confirmation.
Diagram: pages read narrow to candidates, then matched listings, then attributed rows.
The dashboard
One screen for the cycle: price changes, boxes won and lost, and new sellers on your references.

Optimisation view
Every listing where the box is in play, who holds it and what they charge — sorted so the worst row is the first row. The same screen lists the references carried nowhere at all.

Priority
A queue is only useful if the top of it is the most expensive thing happening. Boxes lost come first because the sale is going elsewhere as you read. Availability next, because the traffic is already arriving. Price dispersion last — it is the slowest to hurt and the hardest to unwind.
Diagram: alert priority in order — buy box lost, then availability, then price dispersion.
Alerts
One queue, in the order that costs you money. Every alert carries the listing, the seller and the actions — acknowledge, hand off, resolve.

What you log into
This is the product. The monthly report and the Excel export are printed from it. Each screen has its own page.
Channels
A catalogue-wide hold rate hides which retailer is the problem. Channels reads each shelf on its own — what it carries, what you hold, what is contested and what it does not stock at all — so a conversation with one retailer starts from that retailer's own numbers.
Proportions shown are illustrative shape. Your figures come from your own scan.

Method
Listings are tied to your catalogue on product title and SKU, retailer by retailer.
98–99% on matched listings. Low-confidence rows are flagged in the deliverable, never hidden from it.
Merqi observes and reports the shelf. Monitoring and reporting are lawful across every market we cover.
Seen in use
One client account — 4,196 listings across 78 retailers — and the leaks the first scans turned up. Catalogue size is unlimited; this is simply the account we can show.
The problem
Right now, a seller you never appointed a reseller with your stock a marketplace trader an account you cannot name somebody undercutting you is costing you revenue and losing you customers.
They win the sale on a listing you built, to a customer who believes they bought from you. If that order arrives late, damaged or grey-market, you lose a customer and the revenue both — and neither ever appeared in your channel to begin with.
Undercutting is only the visible half. The rest of the damage never announces itself.
And it is never just one thing
A lost buy box is the one you can see. Merqi reads all seven on the same scan, so the damage you have not noticed shows up beside the damage you have.
Why one row matters
The featured offer is not a ranking, it is the default. The other sellers sit behind a link most shoppers never open, and on mobile they are not on screen at all. So when someone else holds the box on your listing, the page still converts — for them, on your product, at a price you did not set.

revenue our clients can recover
Every buy box lost to an unauthorised seller is a sale made at a price you did not set, on a listing you paid to build. Recovering those listings, closing the coverage gaps and holding distributors to their terms is where the range above comes from.
See what one scan cycle foundIndicative range. What Merqi recovers for your catalogue depends on how many of your listings are contested and how far price has drifted — the first report tells you which.
How it works
Every finding starts as a row in the same scan. What changes is the question you bring to it.
